Striegel Animal Hospital offer clients behavioral consultations for dogs, cats, and companion pets. We strive to nurture the bond between you and your pet. We understand how disruptive and stressful pet behavioral problems are to your family. The behavioral consultation is designed to identify the source of the behavioral concern and design a solution to improve your pet’s behavior.
Common Pet Behavioral Issues
Disruptive pet behavior can cause stress on your family and other pets. Corrective behavioral solutions have been successful in cases, such as:
- House soiling
- Property destruction
- Thunderstorm phobias
Your Pet’s Behavioral Consultation
Each behavioral consult appointment is approximately 2 hours in length. Our veterinary team will observe your pet and review your completed pet behavior information form. We will discuss the possible root causes of your pet’s disruptive behavior, and then design a treatment plan.
Our solutions are based on positive reinforcement, and are non-confrontational. Additionally, we may recommend prescription medication. To ensure the safety of your pet, a complete physical exam and blood work is required before beginning a prescription.
